Editorial Standards
Editorial principles for neutral, source-linked public summaries.
Last updated: August 16, 2026
Editorial Mission
Saytrace tracks what influential business leaders say in public long-form interviews and how those viewpoints develop over time. The product is built for source-linked research, not promotion, opposition research, or sensational coverage.
Public profiles, summaries, topic pages, and comparisons are independent editorial materials. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or maintained by the people, companies, channels, or organizations referenced.
Source Standards
Every public viewpoint must link to original source evidence and a timestamp when timestamped playback is available. Original source controls are the authority when summary language and source context differ.
For ingestion, Saytrace uses publicly available transcripts from official source websites where available and does not silently substitute unapproved third-party transcripts.
Summary Standards
Generated summaries and editorial summaries must not be presented as direct quotations. Exact quotations are labeled, source-backed, and limited to 500 characters on public pages.
Summaries should be neutral, specific, and proportionate to the source material. They should avoid hype, mockery, unsupported certainty, or market-sensitive framing that the source does not support.
Review Gates
High-risk and market-sensitive content requires human review before publication. Contradiction, reversal, or changed-mind claims require editorial review before publication.
User-submitted source videos remain unpublished until editor verification. Public changes that affect meaning, attribution, or risk classification should preserve an internal audit trail.
Corrections
Saytrace accepts correction reports and reviews them against original source evidence. Confirmed issues may result in updated summaries, corrected timestamps, changed labels, added context, or unpublished material.
Editorial accountability favors clear corrections over silent changes when a published page materially misstated source evidence.
